Manav Gangwani is a renowned Indian fashion designer known for his extravagant designs and exquisite craftsmanship.

 Early Life

Initially his family faced some tough times as business of petrochemicals suffered losses and Manav decided to support his family following his passion. He was born in India and developed a passion for fashion from a young age. After his schooling from DPS Mathura road(Delhi) he joined Pearl Acamedy of Fashion. 

 He pursued his education in fashion design to hone his skills and creativity. Gangwani's journey in the fashion industry started with humble beginnings, likely involving internships, apprenticeships, and learning experiences that helped him develop his signature style and build a name for himself.

Gangwani's rise to prominence in the Indian fashion scene is marked by his dedication, talent, and innovative designs. Over the years, he has become one of the most sought-after designers in India, renowned for his bridal couture, luxury ensembles, and glamorous creations. 

His high profile celebrity clients include most of Bollywood’s gliterrati. His muse is "a sensuous woman, who is disposed to make a statement & break all the norms". He retails from his studio, and also Samsaara,  Sanskrit (Hong Kong), Zena Couture (London), Fasateen (Dubai), Chokri (Singapore) and ISHNA. His future plans include breaking into the Bollywood fashion scene and expansion of his retail network all over India and overseas. He has diversified his interests of design into home furnishings and is opening his very first retail store for the label "HOME COUTURE by MANAV GANGWANI". The multi-faceted designer paints comical canvases of people who inspire him.

Achievements 

Amongst his many and varied achievements Manav Gangwani styled the d‚cor for LOUIS VUITTON event in Oct'2007. His designs were also displayed along with Louis Vuitton products. Furthermore he designed & conceptualized an evening for the launch of BARCLAY'S PREMIERE in Feb'2008 for the international brand BARCLAY'S BANK. Manav Gangwani has also designed for a number of celebrity weddings.
His approach to excellence, style, emotions & inspiration has brought in a new spirit to the world of Indian fashion. Realizing that style can be further enhanced in conjunction with music, Manav conceptualized with sarod players Amaan Ali Khan and Ayaan Ali Khan, a synchronization of fashion & music reflecting the purity of refined style infused with emotions titled "PASSION".

FDCI India Couture Week 2017

The couturier designer Manav Gangwani who has styled several Bollywood celebrities including Kangana Ranaut, Hrithik Roshan and others, aims to bring together interesting elements from each region of the country in his collection which will feature elaborate designs and intricate embroidery. "India @ 70 is an amalgamation of the rich heritage of India along with modern edgy elements incorporated in each garment", said Manav Gangwani to News18.com. "Accentuated vintage gold elements adding a touch of royalty to every garment has been thoughtfully crafted to induce the fragrance and grandeur and opulence of India," he added. 

Famous Bollywood Designer designed for King and Queen of Bhutan 

Manav Gangwani had the honor of designing outfits for the King and Queen of Bhutan, King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck and Queen Jetsun Pema. The royal couple is widely admired for their grace, elegance, and modern approach to monarchy. Gangwani's designs for them were noted for their sophistication and contemporary style, reflecting the cultural richness of Bhutan while incorporating his own signature aesthetic.

This collaboration further solidified Gangwani's reputation as a designer capable of catering to elite clientele with discerning tastes, both within Bollywood and beyond.

In 2024 he designed outfits for King and Queen of Bhutan in Anant Ambani's Pre-Wedding.

Initially the going was tough and Gangwani realised very early in life that if he had to lead the life of his choice, he would have to do it the tough way. His family business of petrochemicals suffered major losses and he had to ensure that he supported his family’s fortunes sooner than later. And he wanted to do it without giving up on his passion.
